Your Connection Has Timed Out

"I've seen you, I know you, but I don't know how to connect. So I disconnect." - Nina Persson

Its amazing how people can connect with one another by believing in a cause and one such event that did that, happened two Sundays ago. It was the Freeze for World Earth Day. Was there with the newfound DGMB group and here are some pictures from the event:

And yet somehow when the 4 minutes was up, one could almost notice the major disconnection in the atmosphere. The wonder of it all, eh? But some connections are meant for life. =) Have you found yours?

So::Graciously - April

April is nearing its end and before I forget, here's this month's So::Graciously. For those of you who are wondering what this is all about, So::Graciously is a collection of materials that you can actually use for your youth ministry (if you are in one) or you could just simply build upon it for your own production. Remember to drop me an email should you need a copy of it or to inquire further.

sg-apr08

Here are 3 pictures of the actual production itself:

Differently Fun!

Birthday gatherings, yam cha sessions, press conferences, island trips, movie outings, makan-makan outings, going to concerts, launches, barbecues, karaoke sessions, shootings, picnics and clubbing. I'm pretty sure all of us has somewhat done all of the above before in our lives. And then do it some more all over again as the days, weeks and months go by. Ever felt tired of it all? Don't get me wrong, I love doing all of the above but perhaps it's time to try out something a little different, wouldn't you say?

How about hiking, scuba diving, mountain climbing, hot air ballooning, bungee jumping or hang-gliding? For most, these are considered quite extreme activities and not to mention a tad pricey. Nevertheless, still fun to do if one is up for it.

What about having some fun youth activities that challenge the mind and build up one's character? Take note though that 'youth' does not necessarily mean you must be of a certain age to be categorized as a youth. If you're young at heart and love all sorts of outdoor activities, then perhaps you may want to consider coming for a Youth Camp organized by Petra Youth Productions.

Check out some of the photos from last year's Youth Camp:

003
Working hand-in-hand. Ain't that what we are called to do for humankind?

001
Expect creative youth games that are fun and unforgettable.

012
To never leave a man behind.

007
Good medicine.

006
Score points and win a prize!

002
Sing, shout and clap your hands. Hey, that's what the young at heart does, right?

011
When channeled accordingly, can produce great results.

010
Learn new stuff you'd never imagine learning in your entire life.

005
Fun! Fun! Fun!

008
Tons of workshops are available. Learn the skills you always wanted to.

004
How often do you see an Uruk-Hai, a Persian king, Hitler, The Joker, Osama, Dr. Octopus and Jack Sparrow hang?

009
Searching the meaning of life? Look no further. Come to camp and you will know.

013
Regardless of age, gender, culture, race or personal preferences.

014
Make new friends, meet new people and expand your network too.

015
Only RM135 for working adults and RM120 for students.

Not to mention there's paintball, horseback riding, archery, jungle trekking, a football field, swimming pool, basketball court, beach volleyball and many more!

This is one camp not to be missed if you ever wanted something differently fun in your life.

Wanna come? Contact me via email for more details. =)

Keeping Up With The Joneses

"Newer things make me look more up-to-date ma", said a friend, while showing me his latest Time Capsule. That little whitish-grayish box of his can back up 1TB worth of data. Amazing.

I guess there's nothing wrong in being up to date when technology is concerned. One can always use more megabytes gigabytes when there's so much data for us to store these days, especially our downloaded videos and pictures.

Well, while I may not need a Time Capsule, there's always something attractive released by Apple and when technology is moving so fast in the world today, the challenge for us is to be on our feet at all times. Just like how Apple recently released something customized for our market :

iAlsogot

All of us want newer, shinier, juicier things (or everything for that matter) at one point of our lives. Agree?

Going Loco Over Eco

A short breather from the Redang posts : Today the new Eco-Friendly paperbags made from recycled paper arrived at the office. Being part of the Quiksilver Foundation, we will phase out plastic bags very soon. These new paperbags go great with the Eco-Friendly apparel that we carry but hopefully they will be given for normal apparel purchases as well. Cantik tak?

Redang - Part 4

After settling down into our rooms, we decided to head out to the beach to check out the place. There is nothing much one can actually do at the beach besides chilling out and taking pictures. Moreover, we have just arrived and not going to the beach would defeat the entire purpose of coming to Redang. So, here are some of the stuff that the siao gang did on Day 1:

rp4-001
We quickly freshened up and was all ready to hit the beach.

rp4-002
At the beach, Jen started to stretch.

rp4-003
Soon enough, we did the customary feet thingy and started snapping our feet of all things.

rp4-004
Then Rames spotted something nearby. Or was he posing?

rp4-005
The girls pulak started to gather together macam nak buat photoshoot for magazine. Lol.

rp4-006
Then along came a photographer acting cute.

rp4-007
After a few shots and camhoing, the gang caught the siao virus and couldn't resist it.

rp4-008
The side effects were so strong, it had the entire gang out of control. Must be the blue blue sea.

rp4-009
Poor uncle there. Wouldn't know what hit him. -_-"

rp4-010
The feeling one gets after knocking down innocent uncles jogging on the beach.

Let's take a break, shall we? And now, a word from our sponsors...

rp4-break
Introducing the Roxy "Redang Rames" Special Edition sunnies, Roxy "Camo Ho" bikini and "X-Marks D Spot" boardshorts from Quiksilver.

Sunnies available at Rames Studio Concept Store (Tel : 603 - 9284 7777) for RM199.90 while the bikini and boardshorts are unavailable at the moment but you can try asking Eri or Eugene and see. LOL.

Let's get back. Suddenly, we started shooting the couples there.

rp4-011
"Me lap u long time."

rp4-012
Yellow Green apple nail polish rocks.:P

rp4-013
While shooting the couples, they were serenaded by the Moremore Performers - music one can layan at the beach.

rp4-014
Apparently, the performers does part time modeling as well. Lol.

rp4-015
As we needed a change of scenery, we headed down (or up, rather) to Jalan Sultan Ismail to....

rp4-016
...catch the siaobollywoodstar in person. We also took a lot of nice pikchas there.

Redang - Part 5 is up next! Don't go away!

Redang - Part 3

Now that we have known the siao langs, let's move on to some pictures of Redang. Without further ado, the following are selected pictures taken from Day 1.

rp3-001
Kita tinggal di sini. Good package deal. Okok food. But may be a bit crowded for some.

rp3-002
Tapi pasir panas bila matahari tinggi. Ow ow ow!

rp3-003
For those who want to sun tan, hang out or play ball.

rp3-004
Contains crabs inside.

rp3-005
Laguna beach side.

rp3-008
Didn't find much that night.

rp3-007
Can lepak here take nice nice pictures.

rp3-009
But not as canggihlah the waves.

rp3-006
Enjoying the scenery.

rp3-010
Time to makan.

Redang - Part 1

Thanks to Junn who organized everything, the 13 of us headed out in 3 cars and arrived safely at Merang just before the sun was up. Took turns with Mich to drive and was entertained by Rames' own rendition of "What A Wonderful World" along the East Coast Highway while Jen provided tons of siao laughs. Barely slept with such crazy and fun company. The siaoness!
