How Twitter Saved A Life
Yes, it's true. If you've never heard of Twitter, you might wanna give Gareth's writeup on it a go - he talks about it from his personal experience and provides a pretty good list of Twitter applications to use.
Okay, back to the topic. A few hours ago, Kelz spotted a puppy on the highway and rescued it from being knocked down. She took a picture of it and Twitpic it through her account at @kellster.
Minutes later, a strew of retweets followed :
Earliest twitterer @aprilyim decided to spread the news out :
One of the earliest retweets by @avalanchelynn :
Followed by @kimberlycun - too bad she can't afford to :
@cheem whom I supposed followed @kimberlycun on it :
Followers and those following them got to read it - and the word was passed around rather swiftly.
Thankfully, one of @aprilyim's followers @acutecritique read her tweet and wanted the little fella. A conversation soon started. She even named the pup Orion. Check it out :

And many more probably not based in the Klang Valley. And so, Orion made its' way to @acutecritique hours after being rescued. The soon-to-be owner was so excited :

I guess technology can be of help in this case. Would love to see such effect on a bigger scale locally though.

Was so happy that someone wanted it too. And it was all within hours since the rescue. Didn't know the site exist - last resort was SPCA. Oh well, Orion is safe now. Thanks for the info! :)
Hello peeps. Thanks for letting me hv the pup. =) The vet said that Lil Orion is a mixed. Not really sure which but abit lab, abit rott and abit german shepherd esp around the eyes. We love him nontheless. =))) Very very manja with Mr. Driver. Sigh.. Should i be jealous now? ;)
